🦴 DoggyDinin' Privacy Policy
Last updated:
DoggyDinin' ("we", "us") operates the DoggyDinin' mobile app, which helps people
find and review dog-friendly restaurants. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account info: your first name, last name, and email address, which you provide to sign in. Optionally, your dog's name.
- Content you create: restaurant ratings, comments, and photos you choose to upload.
- Approximate location: only when you tap "near me" or "use my location," to find or pin nearby restaurants. We do not track your location in the background.
How we use it
- To sign you in. We use passwordless login: we email you a one-time link and code. We never store passwords.
- To display your reviews and photos alongside restaurants for other users.
- To find dog-friendly places near a location you search.
How we protect it
Your data is stored on our own secured server and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS
connections. Photos are stripped of embedded location metadata before storage. We never
sell your data or use it for advertising.
Third parties we use
- Google Places & Geocoding: when you search a location (e.g., a zip code), we send that location text to Google to return nearby restaurants. We do not send your identity.
- Resend: our email provider, used solely to deliver your sign-in messages.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and reviews at any time from within the app (Account → Delete my account), or by emailing us.
- Location: you can decline location access and still search by typing a zip or city.
Children
DoggyDinin' is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
